About the company
Black Bear Ideas (BBI) is an Atlanta based privately held technology company that focuses on aggregating real-time content from numerous websites and automatically categorizing it based on geographical location, language and genres. This resolves the current frustration that people have of having to visit multiple sites daily to find out what is happening in their city. By aggregating all this data we can easily answer the question of “What’s going on” in any given city around the world and be able to target them directly based on geo, events, job, and other demographic data. We have been building a Real-Time Geo Location Based System (LBS) for over a year and will be ready as an API release soon.
The BBI engine will be released as an API for developers to enable social websites and mobile applications the capability of building real-time geo based functionality into their applications. More information about this service will be posted soon.

And this phenomenon is going to create HUGE commerce opportunities on the web."... Read more |
